2025 Conference Challenge Grant

The NAALJ and NALJ Foundation Boards are pleased to announce the Challenge Grant Program for the 2025 Annual Conference in Reno, NV.

Through the Challenge Grant Program, NAALJ and NALJ will award $595
 (the conference registration fee) to one Challenge Grant winner from each State Affiliate, as well as three winners from non-affiliated states.  The $595 Grant will be presented to the winners during their attendance at the 2025 Conference in Reno.  The award will be given in the form of either a waiver of the Conference registration fee, or a check issued to the individual Winner.

This Grant is specifically intended for judges who are first-time conference attendees and created for the purpose of encouraging conference attendance for new members and 


Eligibility 

  • Current NAALJ member with up-to-date dues
  • First time conference attendee
  • Not a member of the NAALJ or NALJ Board and/or not a State Affiliate officer


Affiliate Winners

  • Each State Affiliate is charged with selecting its grant winner and the method of choosing the winner is left to the Affiliate.
  • It is permissible for the award to be apportioned amongst more than one winner, if desired by the Affiliate. 
  • Affiliates are encouraged to provide any or all of the remaining expenses to enable their winning Affiliate member to attend the Conference. 


Non-Affiliate State Winners

  • Qualifying applicants from non-affiliated states will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis by the NAALJ and NAALJ Foundation Boards.
